Nuture Your Feet with Massages and Foot Baths

By nurturing your feet, you’ll discover benefits you might not have imagined were possible. After taking as many as 8,000-10,000 steps each and every day, your feet have worked hard and deserve a little pampering.  By soaking your feet in a warm bath and massaging your feet regularly, you’re giving your feet and your body a well-deserved treat.  You’re making it possible to sleep better if you soak your feet at night and/or massage your feet.  Your blood circulation and immunity increases and the stress fades away.

Benefits of Foot Pampering

  • Better Sleep
  • Increased Blood Circulation
  • Improved Immunity
  • Reduced Stress

Soak your feet in a large warm bowl of water.  Add Epsom salts, Sea salt, vinegar, apple cider vinegar, essential oils and milk.  One cup of Epsom salt and sea salt added to lukewarm water can be a very relaxing treatment for the feet.  Allow the salt to dissolve before immersing the feet.  Soak the feet for at least 20 minutes and then thoroughly dry the feet.  Five cups of white vinegar or apple cider vinegar for every gallon of warm water can help end problems with toenail fungus, dry and cracked feet, athlete’s foot and foot odor.

Soak the feet for at least 15 minutes for athlete’s foot, fungus, warts, calluses and dead skin, 45 minutes for dry feet and 20 minutes for smelly feet. Both vinegar and milk are good for exfoliating the feet.  Essential oils are beneficial for moisturizing the feet and generating a relaxing scent while doing it.  After the feet have been treated to the warmth of a foot bath, your body responds by releasing the stress of the day through your feet.  A deeper, stress free sleep is the natural result.

Foot Massages

The practice of reflexology uses foot massage to different parts of the feet to promote relaxation and healing other areas of the body. Reflexology massage can encourage flexibility and increase range of motion. In some instances, foot massage can even help manage pain.

Foot Massage Increases Immunity

A foot massage increases blood circulation and improves immunity. Any area that is massaged on the body receives an increase in blood circulation, which feeds the cells in the area as well.  This process also forces toxins away from the area, increasing one’s immunity.

To truly pamper yourself, soak and massage your feet.  You’ll rest more soundly through the night and you’ll feel more relaxed.  Your blood will circulate more freely, increasing your immunity and the most visible result will be softer, healthier looking feet.
